Sehari yang lalu , PCI Geomatica 2012versi 32 Bit telah diluncurkan, menyusul peluncuran versi 64 Bit yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya. Pada dasarnya merupakan basis produk yang sama dengan versi 64 Bit tetapi dioptimasi untuk mesin-mesin 32 Bit. Peluncuran ini untuk memberikan kesempatan pada para pengguna PCI Geomatica yang belum bermigrasi menuju sistem 64 Bit.
Terry Moloney, presiden PCi menyatakan :
“We are pleased to offer this 32-bit version to customers who have yet to complete their migration to 64-bit operating systems. This latest version improves upon our world-leading orthorectification algorithms, adds the features and functions the industry needs, and increases performance across the board using innovative multi-threaded based processing.”
Sekarang Geomatica 2012 telah tersedia dalam 2 versi yaitu 32 Bit dan 64 Bit, dengan spesifikasi minilam Windows XP atau di atasnya. dan juga tersedia dalam versi Linux 64 Bit (kernel 2.6.27, glibc 2.9, gcc 4.3)
